Does fenbendazole treat cancer?

Cancer is a major health concern for most people worldwide, with more than two million new cases reported and thousands of deaths expected.

Capsules, tablets, fenbendazole

Finding effective ways to prevent, treat, and manage various types of cancer(1) remains a top priority for doctors and cancer specialists.

On this page:

  1. What is fenbendazole?
  2. Joe Tippens
  3. How does fenbendazole treat cancer?
  4. How do I take fenbendazole for cancer treatment?
  5. Treatment tips
  6. Is artemisinin a cure for cancer?
  7. Fenbendazole and Artemisinin for Cancer Treatment
  8. Cancer prevention
  9. Summary

The importance of this article stems from some preliminary research on two unconventional treatments: fenbendazole (FenBen) and artemisinin.

Remember that this article provides information, not advice.

Therefore, it is advisable to seek medical advice from specialists.

What is fenbendazole?

Fenbendazole is a treatment for threadworms in children, and it is known for its low price.

Fenbendazole is a cheaper alternative, typically sold as a dewormer for some animals, but it is used successfully by many people.

In addition to eliminating parasites, studies(2) show that fenbendazole shows promise as an anticancer agent.

So far, some doctors have seen positive results with fenbendazole in patients, with mild side effects.

Fenbendazole is characterized by:

  • Low price
  • Antiparasitic properties
  • Anticancer properties
  • Few side effects

Studies suggest that fenbendazole can induce tumor regression in various types of cancer.

Additionally, it appears(3) to be compatible with traditional methods such as chemotherapy and radiation when used in conjunction with them.

Fenbendazole can fight cancer cells, but with less toxicity and fewer side effects for patients.

However, clinical trials in humans are still insufficient.

Fenbendazole is available without a prescription in capsule form and has limited absorption in the intestine, so taking the capsules with food helps increase bioavailability.

Some people use capsules by sprinkling the contents on meals and eating them comfortably without discomfort.

Has any patient used fenbendazole?

Several cancer patients have been treated with fenbendazole.

One of them is Joe Tippens(4), who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017 and was given only a few months to live.

Joe took fenbendazole, a drug for dogs, along with cannabidiol (CBD) oil, curcumin, and vitamin E, inspired by a scientist's story about how using a dog cancer drug could cure human cancer.

The results were astonishing: the "Joe Tippens Protocol" proved successful, and he remains cancer-free.

The story sparked a shift toward using fenbendazole to treat human cancers.

Joe relied on using fenbendazole along with:

  • CBD oil
  • Curcumin
  • Vitamin E
  • Healthy diet

Joe Tippins' initial treatment protocol involved taking fenbendazole for three consecutive days, followed by four days off, and then repeating the cycle.

Unlike many medications, fenbendazole does not appear to develop tolerance with prolonged use, allowing it to be administered indefinitely if needed.

It is recommended to combine fenbendazole with other substances believed to enhance its effectiveness, such as milk thistle, curcumin, CBD oil, and certain other foods.

How does fenbendazole treat cancer?

Fenbendazole is known to eliminate parasites by inhibiting the production of microtubules, which enable intracellular transport.

This disruption of microtubules also affects cancer cells, which rely on these tubes to maintain their rapid and uncontrolled division.

Fenbendazole thus halts cell division and attacks malignant tumors through several key(5) pathways:

  • Restricting cancer cells' uptake of glucose (the main source of energy), which fuels uncontrolled tumor growth, by decreasing glucose transporters and the enzyme hexokinase.
  • Reactivating the p53 gene, a powerful tumor suppressor. Humans do not have much of this gene, but fenbendazole helps reactivate it.
  • Stimulating apoptosis(6) (programmed cell death). It does this by halting the cell cycle by disrupting microtubules.

Furthermore, cancer cells appear unable to develop resistance to fenbendazole with prolonged use, unlike conventional chemotherapy drugs, so fenbendazole can maintain its anticancer effectiveness over the long term.

How do I take fenbendazole for cancer treatment?

The amount of fenbendazole taken varies depending on the stage or spread of the cancer. Additional nutrients(7) may be needed to achieve the desired effect.

Complementary cancer treatment

Cancer patients undergoing complementary treatment need the following:

  • Take a 222 mg fenbendazole capsule daily after a heavy meal
  • Take a 600 mg curcumin capsule twice daily with breakfast and lunch
  • Take one or two drops of CBD oil under the tongue before bed

Active malignancies

It is suggested(8) to take more than one nutrient with fenbendazole to achieve optimal results, such as:

  • Take 444 mg of fenbendazole capsules daily with meals, with one day off per week
  • Take one or two drops of CBD oil under the tongue before bed
  • Take a 600 mg curcumin capsule twice daily
  • Take a 250 mg milk thistle capsule twice daily with food

Cancer relapse prevention

Patients also need several types, including:

  • Take a 222 mg fenbendazole capsule once daily after a heavy meal, three days a week
  • Milk thistle twice daily
  • 600 mg curcumin capsule twice daily
  • CBD oil, one or two drops under the tongue

Treatment Advice for Fenbendazole

Patients taking fenbendazole should follow some important advice and be aware of the necessary information during treatment and at each stage of treatment, such as:

  • Monitoring liver and kidney function tests
  • Discontinue treatment if liver enzymes are elevated, then resume after a two-week break
  • Its anti-cancer effects may take one to four months to appear
  • It is usually compatible with chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery
  • Continue taking the medication even if the cancer has improved; tumors can easily recur without ongoing treatment
  • Monitor relevant tumor markers to assess for relapse if it occurs
  • Take fenbendazole with food. Diarrhea may occur with very high doses
  • It may enhance the tumor's sensitivity to radiation, improving treatment effectiveness

Knowing this information before starting treatment and undergoing tests can help the patient feel stronger against the disease.

Is artemisinin a cure for cancer?

Artemisinin is an important compound for cancer treatment and has been used for centuries to treat infections and inflammation.

Artemisinin(9) has many advantages, including:

  • low cost
  • Easy to tolerate
  • Low toxicity
  • No resistance
  • Promising anti-cancer efficacy

Derived from the Chinese wormwood plant, artemisinin boosts iron throughout cancer cells to create free radicals that kill cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue.

When iron and artemisinin meet inside malignant cells, these atoms selectively attack cancer cells.

A dose of 400–800 mg daily for 6–12 months has been shown to be safe and effective.

We recommend consulting your doctor for step-by-step recommendations, dosage requirements, and health advice.

Fenbendazole and Artemisinin for Cancer Treatment

Fenbendazole and artemisinin show promising results as single or complementary cancer treatments.

However, clear and careful examinations and discussions with an oncologist are essential before integrating these modalities into a treatment plan.

Preliminary research is encouraging for human use, and we hope that fenbendazole and artemisinin will receive FDA approval for cancer treatment in the near future.

Furthermore, like any treatment, the risks and benefits must be carefully weighed on an individual basis under the supervision of a specialist.

Cancer prevention

Cancer prevention does not prevent the disease, but it reduces the symptoms and suffering experienced by the affected person.

By taking some personal measures, prevention can be activated, such as:

  • Most of which is vegetarian and omega-3, while reducing sugars, foods rich in bad fats, and ready-made meals
  • Lose weight up to a certain level and maintain the new weight
  • Eating foods that contain vitamin D to reduce symptoms and boost immunity

Steps a person can take to manage cancer include:

  • Avoid fried and grilled foods that are high in bad fats and prepared foods that may also raise blood cholesterol.
  • Avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol and energy drinks, as they have a bad effect on cancer patients
  • Eating moringa leaves or oil helps a lot in curing cancer.
  • Eating a healthy diet rich in fresh, nutritious plant foods, including whole grains like sesame and oats
  • Eating fruits such as blueberries and avocados, vegetables like okra, lean proteins, low-fat dairy products, and healthy plant-based fat sources like spinach and nuts
  • Do physical activity daily, such as walking for 30 minutes, exercising or swimming between treatments
  • Follow up laboratory tests on a regular basis to determine the extent of the development of the condition

The specialist doctor is the first advisor to determine the appropriate steps for managing cancer, as they differ from one person to another.

Summary

This treatment demonstrates an integrative approach that combines conventional and complementary approaches.

We hope to expand and improve treatment options for cancer.

Fenbendazole, alone or in combination with artemisinin, may be an effective treatment outside the box of chemotherapy and its side effects.

With further research, we will gain greater clarity on which treatment regimens may benefit each patient and provide the best chance of overcoming this devastating disease.
